Team BentVenture
BentVenture is pleased to welcome Alicia to our 2009 Adventure Race team. Alicia got her first taste of adventure racing when she agreed to sub for Tammy at the Fairbury Adventure Race, and she has been hooked ever since. We are glad that Alicia has been able to train with us and race with us. She is a natural. If you’re still looking for a team to join, you’re in luck. There are a number of teams currently looking for someone to join them for the 2009 race season. Visit our Teammate Finder page to see who’s looking or just drop us an email and we’ll help you find a team. Matt M Adam

Bike: Specialized - Rock Hopper other wise known as "White Lightening"
Most Memorable Event/Race: My most memorable race has to be the be my first Adventure Race in Fairbury with Team BentVenture. When Adam asked me to help out and fill in for Tammy I of course jumped on the opportunity. When the horse trailer doors opened and I was running with a full camelbak strapped to my back I was thinking, "Oh no, what have I have gotten myself into." But once the 5k passed and we began building our raft, I was in race mode and loved every minute. I never imagined I could do a 9 hour race right out of the gate having no experience in Adventure Racing but I proved myself wrong. When my legs began to give out my adrenaline just kept kicking in and when I crossed the finish line I felt awesome but in a weird way, I wanted to keep going. Tammy, Adam and Matt were so supportive from day one. I could not have done it without them. I am now officially an Adventure Racing junkie.
